Micro Rooms
A series of four parklets to activate unused spaces and create more shared spaces for the community.
In a collaborative effort with Paper Moose and the City of Canterbury Bankstown Council and Feather Edge, we took on the ambitious project of reimagining public spaces. As project manager I was responsible for the creative ideation, pitching, technical drawings, fabrication and installation of four distinct 'Microrooms'.
These innovative installations breathe new life into previously underutilized public areas, turning them into inviting urban shelters that cater to the community's needs. These parklets succeeded in their vision of urban transformation and dramatically increased foot traffic and pedestrian activity in these previously underutilised city spaces.
This initiative was generously funded by the NSW Government’s Streets as Shared Spaces Program, underscoring the government's commitment to fostering community engagement and enhancing the urban landscape.
